Hi there! Just a quick post today. Recently I’ve been seeing #readmorewomen around social media. So, I thought I would do another Feminist Friday Recap, collecting some of my favourite review posts of books by female authors, from the past couple of months, to celebrate the joy of female writers, and their influential, interesting and fantastic literature.

Women authors are not always appreciated in society, and it’s important to promote their work as much as possible. Who knows, after reading these reviews, you might want to pick up a copy of some of these from your local library!

If you missed any of these posts, feel free to check them out- and don’t forget to comment and let me know your thoughts and feelings about each one, I love hearing your ideas and feelings!

1. Review: ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ by Margaret Atwood

2. Review: ‘Girl, Interrupted’ by Susanna Kaysen

3. Review: ‘Hotel Iris’ by Yoko Ogawa

4. Review: ‘Purple Hibiscus’ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

5. Review: ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ by Harper Lee

And if you want to hear directly from some women authors, check out my interviews with these fantastic female voices…

Author Interview: Emily Barr

Author Interview: Elizabeth Ridley

Author Interview: Kate Forsyth

I hope you find something you like in the above posts. Sorry that it’s only a short one this week- I have a lot on with University! But I promise a more in-depth post next Friday, so keep posted 🙂

Have you read some of these books? What did you think of them? Should we #readmorewomen as a society? Let me know all your thoughts in the comments below 🙂

Happy reading!
